CHICAGO got WOPPED

My first true trip out of the northeast was to Chicago for Halloween weekend and my what a 5 day trip it was. Being my first time in Chicago, I had a lot to explore. I was lucky enough to have my buddy Teddy to show me around and graciously give me a place to crash. I arrived mid-week and right from the get go, I was being shown around the Lincoln Park area (North Side of Chicago) where Teddy lived. I really digged the neighborhood. There were a lot of young people around and from what I heard it was a great music and sports town. It was also really easy to get into downtown Chicago. Anyways, my days consisted of riding a longboard and checking out the city. I spent a lot of time in Lincoln Park, which was sweet and made it down to Michigan Ave and the Financial District, which gave me more of that city feel. My nights followed as they did in NYC, more partying and music, which was awesome! The crew of people we were hanging out with too was really chill. I had known some of them before I had arrived from a music festival we all went to this past summer, but met a lot of new people through Teddy as well. We definitely did Chicago the right way and I had an amazing and memorable time!

NYC got WOPPED

My last weekend in NYC for a while was quite the epic trip! I had some of my best friends in town and knowing the city like the back of my hand, we had classic schedule lined up. Music, sunshine and partying were the main categories of this weekend. During the day we did everything from checking out Occupy Wallstreet to hanging out in Central Park and playing some football. At night, the highlights were definitely seeing 3 shows in 4 nights though. There is nothing better then partying to great music with awesome friends. Lastly, it was great weekend to catch up with great friends that I have made over my two years here. All in all, it was one of the best weekends I’ve had in NYC in a long time and I will remember this weekend forever.

WOPPED Intro

After living in NYC for the past two years, the world is looking bigger then ever. Little nooks and crannies of the US seem like a totally different universe. Lifestyle, scenery and people are all moving at different speeds. When I decided to leave NYC, I had no clue where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do. Slowly but surely though, life has a way of pointing you in a certain direction. You can either follow your instinct or ignore it. In my case, I chose to follow it. With the help of friends and family I chose to explore.
